Daily Runs
All Classes in Caherleaheen took part in the Daily Mile starting in September 2019. We had a course planned in the halla in case of bad weather but generally teachers just went outside to the playground once they saw a dry spell, mindful of the P.E. timetable.
Playground Leaders
We organised group leaders from 6th class to play games with the Infants. They had a rota and showed them how to play a new game every week.
Playground Equipment
Super Troopers.
Pupils have all received a copy of Super Troopers to use at home to use either as part of P.E. active homework or for their own personal use.The feedback is amazing!!!!

2020 Active Lines
To keep Caherleaheen kids active (and warm) we stay active in our lines. Teachers lead the children in a few simple exercises to ensure that everyone has been active during yard time. Here some I.T. students are helping out. They put both pupils and teachers through their paces.

Céilí Mór! Seachtain na Gaeilge
Lots of fun was had in the few weeks leading up to Seachtain na Gaeilge as the pupils practiced their Irish dancing steps and dances under the guidance of Ms Gemma. The older pupils learned The Walls of Limerick & Siege of Ennis. Juniors to 6th got involved and everyone really enjoyed themselves. It ended with a Céilí Mór sa Halla on 13th March where everyone got the opportunity to showcase their moves!

Nearly all our annual school tours are ACTIVE tours!
Third Class went To Ballyheigue Beach in Sept 2019. We spent the last hour or two playing rounders and long-jump (measured with tape!). The children spent the first two hours 'fishing'. A super day!!
